The Thai Baht is the local currency in Thailand and contrary to what many think is a relatively stable currency in the world market. The recent floatation of the Thai Baht in 1997 caused a sharp decline in it's value, dropping from 25 to the US$, to a maximum of 50+ Baht to the US$. Since then, the Thai Baht has recovered to a level of around 45 and is remaining fairly steady.

Here at Idalot, we strive to give you the ultimate online experience, not only through our unique method of presenting the products, but by making you see, hear, and feel as you would should you have made the trip to Bangkok yourself. This includes allowing you the opportunity to deal with the merchants in their local currency (ie the Thai Baht). Indeed, this is one of the pleasures of travelling and shopping in foreign countries as well.

To this end, we have listed all prices as Thai Baht prices and will submit charges to your credit card at exactly that price you see on your screen. There are no discrepancies due to local conversion prior to charging, etc. Your credit card company and local bank will make the proper currency conversion back to your local currency at whatever rate is applicable at that time.

If you have any concerns about this or would like further details in how credit card charges are made from foreign merchants, feel free to contact us at info@idalot.com.
